WMS Bisley at The National Shooting Centre, Bisley, Surrey

WMS Bisley offers a wide range of shooting training options within one hour of central London, Heathrow and Gatwick airports. Located at the National Shooting Centre, in Bisley Surrey, this means we can offer bespoke whole days, half days and evenings for individuals or groups who want to improve their shooting, or experience it for the first time. Instruction will either be provided by Andrew Venables or one of the WMS team of highly experienced instructors.

The National Shooting Centre at Bisley in Surrey was created in 1860 and has held a well-deserved international reputation since. The 3,000 acre site, also home to the UK National Rifle Association (NRA), has multiple shooting ranges accommodating all relevant rifle-shooting disciplines.

WMS Firearms Training, which was set up in 2006, has been granted unique commercial access to these ranges following an agreement between WMS and the NRA signed in early 2022 which enables us to train clients under our usual commercial operating procedures. No NRA membership is required to shoot with us at Bisley and booking is simple, email us on info@wmsfirearmstraining.com or call 01974 81869 and we do the rest.

Shooting range:

  • Chobham Ridges Range, just a 10 minute drive from Bisley Camp, offers shooting on to reactive steel targets from 150 -1,170 yards over challenging terrain, much the same as in Wales, where wind and elevation combine to test the skills of even the most experienced shots. There are two covered firing areas for up to 8 people. Plans are underway to add another template offering .22RF shooting 50-300 yards and additional centrefire targets.
  • Other NSC ranges may be available depending on client requirements.

Targets: Chobham Ridges Range features reactive steel targets, similar to those we use on our shooting areas in mid Wales.

Distances: maximum available for any permitted calibre is 1,200 yards/1,107m. All distances available are from 10 yards to the maximum, varying with calibre, firearm type and discipline.
